My latest collection uses my collection of historical impression dies to imprint metal with designs from the art nouveau period that have been rescued from the smelter. These amazing designs were destined to be melted down to make new steel, luckily rescued by a company that makes limited die runs made from the original hub that are available to a limited audience.
Each design is made by hand, ensuring that each piece is made unique with a high standard of quality. I do not strive to make each component absolutely perfect, because I enjoy the imperfections that can found in nature, so I use stones that aren't flawless and recycled metal. This speaks to the principle of wabi sabi, which is to find beauty in the imperfect.
