Wide bronze crown bangle bracelet

This bracelet is done in the same way as my other anticlastic bracelets but features an overlap that turns it from a cuff into a bangle. The bangle is not soldered together so it has a little bit of stretch which helps in getting it over your hand. It is not suited for someone with a larger hand or wrist and would fit better on a smaller wrist. When I made it, I was still trying to work out the kinks in the process so it came out a bit smaller than I wanted and ended up around six inches in diameter. The bending process makes this a very hard and durable metal which will not fly off your wrist if you were to catch it on something.

The material is bronze which is a golden yellow color but will tarnish over time giving it a brown tone. If you prefer to clean it, I suggest Simichrome polish which you can find on Amazon or a your local hardware or auto supplier. Use a dab on an older soft cloth (I use old baby blankets that I cut into squares) or t-shirt, wipe over the surface and polish with the clean part. It will clean up quickly and it works on all metals and you can use it around softer stones. If you don’t want your skin to turn colors, coat the inside with clear nail polish and redcoat whenever it starts to flake off.
